Inspired by the author's family history, Marco & Noelle and their lifelong friends embark on a voyage from Spain to the New World and Mexico, eventually settling in California and the United States, and experience an adventure of intrigue, betrayal, violence, combat, bigotry, and genocide. But their story is first and foremost a love that embraces the participants and their extended family in an eternal love bond that anchors their credo – the brotherhood of man.
